What to Send Us: Medical Documents Checklist (and How to Photograph Them)
The quality of your quote depends on the quality of what you send. You do not need everything — you need the right five things, photographed clearly. Here is the list our doctors ask for.
The 5 documents that matter
- Latest specialist report — the most recent letter or summary from your doctor with the diagnosis
- Key test results — echo/angiogram for heart, biopsy/histopathology for cancer, X-ray/MRI report for joints and spine
- Blood work — the most recent panel you have
- Current medications list — names and doses, a photo of the boxes works
- Passport photo page — needed for the visa invitation letter later
How to photograph reports with your phone
- Place the page flat in daylight, shoot from directly above
- Make sure the whole page and all numbers are readable when you zoom
- For X-ray/MRI films: photograph against a bright window or white screen
- Send the radiologist’s written report too — it matters more than the image
What NOT to worry about
No translations needed at this stage — our medical team reads reports in most languages or arranges translation. No originals — photos are enough until you travel. Missing tests are fine: the quote will state which tests will be repeated in India (usually cheaper than doing them at home).
